Are you a Screenwriter, Director or Producer interested in Shadowing Opportunities on Film & TV Dramas in 2022?

The National Talent Academy Film & TV is seeking expressions of interest for its flagship Shadowing & Mentorship Programme.

The National Talent Academy for Film & Television (NTA Film & TV) is seeking expressions of interest from eligible talent for bespoke placement, shadowing and mentoring opportunities. The NTA Film & TV aims to open doors to those pursuing a career in television drama and feature film by creating concrete opportunities for creative talent to progress to senior roles within the industry.

This cornerstone initiative of the NTA Film & TV will enable a number of screenwriters, directors, development personnel and producers, who are ready and able to take the next step to fully immerse themselves in the shadowing experience with highly experienced industry peers transforming their confidence and insight into high-profile TV drama and feature film.

The NTA is committed to investing in new voices and openly encourages applications from diverse and/or regional talent.

About Expressions of Interest for Shadowing

The NTA Film & TV intends to provide opportunities for established creative talent (with a focus on regional and diverse talent) to progress their careers by obtaining real-time experience on Irish and international TV dramas and feature films during the critical periods of writing, directing, and producing through pre-production, production, and post-production. Opportunities will also be sought within the drama commissioning departments of Broadcasters/Financiers (for creative producers/development executives) where possible.

This call for expressions of interest from creative talent aims to identify and assemble a panel in order to seek and secure appropriate shadowing opportunities across 2022 in consultation with the selected participants.

A contribution for time commitment, travel and accommodation will be provided allowing individuals to meet personal financial obligations while gaining access to the industry, practical experience, and career development opportunities.

Further information, eligibility criteria and details on how to apply can be found here

The National Talent Academy for Film & TV is an initiative of Screen Ireland which is managed by the Galway Film Centre.
